Strategies
My Strategy for this was the dice strategy. Depending on what you rolled you followed the dice. I like the idea of it, however the idea didn't seem to really work all that well for me. I kept going in the same circles never leaving the two same blocks and it really began to frustrate me. So finally I overruled the dice and walked off on my own. I stilled rolled the die at certain intersections but I was far to frustrated to do it at every intersection as I was before. I probably won't use this strategy again because it was so frustrating and it's no fun rolling die on icy streets with frozen hands either, perhaps if it were warmer things would have worked out better.

Eliza-Beth Goes To The Track

My final sound was SUPPOSED to be puddle jumping, one of my favorite activities. However, on playback my fun puddle noises were completely blocked by traffic, in fact it sounded more like I was at a race track or an air show than just on the street. Part of this may have been due to the loss of my windscreen, although I tried a temporary fix (my glove, which didn't seem to really fix it). So I had to work with what I had left at this point, a bunch of cars. It's not super interesting I think but it is noisy. I wish I could play my fun puddle jumping sounds but it just wasn't meant to be, I'm not that lucky that things would turn out my way. Oh well. Water Street is just waaaay to busy I guess. Anyways enjoy the fun sounds of what doesn't really seem like traffic but is, go ahead and listen here.
Hey Kids! Lets play with rocks!

While being quite grumpy that I wasn't going anywhere and I was freezing, I spotted a small space between two buildings on Broadway, one a church the other part of MSOE. I decided to see if it sound different at all being between two stone walls and while I was discovering my new alcove I found a bunch of rocks. Figuring it couldn't hurt to test, I started playing around with them. Grating them against each other, a chain link fence, and throwing them at the buildings. It proved to be more fun than I expected despite the odd looks I got from passerbys. So if you like rocks as much as I do, take a listen here to my rock extravaganza!
Why I Hate Starbucks

So after traveling in circles forever I somehow maneuvered my way out of it and ended up at East Point market square. Needing rest and warmth and some time to figure out what to do since I somehow lost one of my wind covers, I tried to find the best place to heat up. Sadly Starbucks was practically my only option. I decided to take advantage of it and record exactly why Starbucks bothers me. Not only is it to trendy for my taste but it is not the quiet little coffee shop to go and rest at, nor is it one that you can easily concentrate on homework or other peaceful activities (unless you happen to have your headphones so you can block everyone out) however my headphones only amplified the noise, so here it is my distaste for Starbucks, if you just listen here I'm sure you'll hear it too.

Work Work Work

So near the Parking meter happened to be a busy construction site, I didn't want to get to close so I stood across the street and attempted to get some cool sounds. I stool there for about ten minutes, which caused the workers to wonder what I was doing staring at them with giant headphones on for what seemed like forever. I got some interesting sounds of machinery and as always the beeping sounds in the the beginning are my favorite! Even though walking was no fun in the bitter cold I don't think I'd want to be doing construction either. So if you like the styling of construction sites as much as me go ahead and listen up
I just wanted to park a car

On my first Drift I used the dice strategy, which I am going to say I wasn't all that pleased with since it took me in the same three circles getting me practically nowhere, however I worked with what I got from my fated dice and found a parking meter near a construction site, so being the nice person I am decided to put some coins in the meter for a car that was already parked there. I found it difficult to get my mics near the parking meter without disturbing them to much so I ended up getting background noise as well boo :( except that I did get a squeaking tire in my sounds as well which you will hear! yay! so here it goes my first ever attempt to record the world go ahead and take a listen
